We noted that the Institutional Accreditation was conducted in the University from November 27 to December 3, 2011. The process evaluated Institutional Vision, Mission and Strategic Goals; Institutional Governance and Administration; Institutional Resources; Quality of Teaching, Learning and Research; Institutional Efficiency and Effectiveness; Extension Services and Consultancies; Transparency, Financial Management and Stability; and General Ethos.
Below is a breakdown of the implication of the respective status for Institutional Accreditation:
70% and above: FULL accreditation, valid for seven (7) years.
60 – 69.99%: INTERIM accreditation A, valid for five (5) years.
50 – 59.99%: INTERIM accreditation B, valid for three (3) years.
40 – 49.99%: PROBATION, valid for two (2) years.
Below 40%: FAIL.
