President GJ To Award Scholarships To Nigeria First Class Grads

This is another welcome development done by our lovely president, Goodluck .E. Jonathan as he inaugurated a special post-graduate scholarship scheme for all university graduates with a first class degree.

 Our "presido said that  “Every year, we should tap from among our best brains, selecting our best brains, we are starting with 100 because we have not made adequate arrangement for funding but the number will increase when we make budgetary allocation for it in 2013.   “We select our best brain in the area of science, engineering and some areas of economics and expose them to the best facilities available in the world.   “The ministry of education and this committee will have to travel to these universities to negotiate for positions in the top 25 universities in the world.   “The idea is for you to benefit you must have a first class. It is based purely on merit, no quota. We are giving opportunity for best brains.’’

He said the beneficiaries of the scheme would, on completion of their studies, be mandated to work for the country for a period of five years as lecturers or researchers before they could be allowed to go in to their chosen careers.

2012/2013 Nigeria LNG Scholarship Is Now Out

Today, we got an information concerning scholarships in the Nation Newspaper. This is to inform those that might be interested with the scholarships going on the across Nigeria that the management of Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas(NLNG) has announced the commencement of the 2012/2013 scholarship. Please note that the scholarship is not for everybody but for only the full time  and also first year students in Nigerian Universities.If you are interested in the scholarship, then here are the documents that will be required of you in order to be eligible.

#A Letter of Identification from your Local Government. 

 # Your JAMB Details and University admission letters.

# Your WAEC/NECO/GCE/O’Levels or A Level results.

# Your School ID Card.

#Coloured Passport Sized Photograph.

You are to scan the above listed documents and hover to the  Nigeria LNG website. Locate the button "Scholarship Application Portal". The List of shortlisted candidates and aptitude test dates will be made public via the internet on their website on the 18^th of June – 20^th of July, 2012.
