The New Online Tutor For Nigeria Students - eJamb

It is no longer a news that online test has been introduced into the Nigerian educational system. Students and graduates that desired to be in the Universities and other institutions can now use the new online test tutor named E-JAMB .

This is fist of its kind in the country and will surely help the students to succeed both on short and long terms. This is produced by Elnuk Laboratories, a Nigerian-registered company that provides integrated online products and services to address the needs of students, parents, educators and educational institutions in African countries.

According to the CEO of Elnuk Laboratories, Mr. Kunle Aromolaran said..."The product was a must-have for those preparing for the 2011 and subsequent editions of the annual Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME,  conducted annually for hopefuls of tertiary education in the country by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board."

To ensure that internet savvy pupils have a better and faster way of preparing for the Universities Matriculation Examination, a group called Elnuk Labs, has created an online preparation service, ‘e JAMB,’that would be available to the general public via the internet.

The Managing Director, Elnuk Labs, Mr. Kunle Aromolaran, at a news conference in Lagos State, said that pupils would now have the ability to stimulate the JAMB examination in a timed environment so that they could estimate the average time they spend on each question and work on improving their speed of answering questions.

“Also, pupils would be able to get immediate feedback on test results including a systematic topic breakdown to show performance by topic. Study plans tailored to each student’s study needs would also be made available,” he said.

Aromolaran said that the main objective behind creating the service was to form an intersection between technology and education. “Millions of university- bound young pupils in Nigeria have got accustomed to using the internet for their basic communication needs such as Email and Instant Messaging. While the internet infrastructure in this part of the world has improved dramatically in the last few years, the content available on it to this demographic group has lagged significantly especially in the area of learning.”

The managing director said that it was high time we created a culture of ‘e-learning.’ “E-learning is about the application of Information and Communication Technology, ICT. It will enhance efficiency and quality in all areas of our education system. We must pool our resources to ensure that this is deployed without delay.”

Aromolaran added that the service would give visibility to high school and tertiary institutions’ entrance education system in Nigeria by allowing pupils from anywhere in the world to view or take UME past questions without physically being in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Aromolaran has said that the online preparation service consists of over 20 years worth of past questions compiled by external UME markers across the nation. He said the service would be made available this month.

All my research to locate the website address of the e-jamb service(s) has proved abortive. But keep your eyes close to our blog and you will be updated when it is out. "It will truly helps the students to achieve tremendous success as I see it in my own view" said Dr. Babs Of   http://jambume.blogspot.com

Thank you for the reading.
