AUTHORITIES of the Obafemi Awolowo
University, (OAU),Ile-Ife, has approved February 26, 2012 for the
re-opening of the institution for the commencement of the 2011/2012
academic session.
A statement issued and signed by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Mr. Abiodun Olarewaju, said the on-line registration for harmmattan semester courses begins February 6, while clearance at Faculty and Admission offices holds between February 27 and March 2.
Olarewaju said orientation week for fresh students will start on Monday, March 5 and end on Sunday, March 11, the same date the returning undergraduate and post-graduate students are expected to come into residence.
He stated further that lectures will commence fully for 2011/2012 academic session on Monday, March 12, while normal on-line registration for courses will end on Wednessday, March 28 before Matriculation ceremony on Thursday, March 29.
Olarewaju, therefore, advised candidates who made OAU as their first and/ or second choice and sat for its Post-UTME to check their names from the list of candidates admitted by the Join Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)on the OAU Website (www.oauife.edu.ng) or (e-portal.oauife.edu.ng)and follow procedures for registration as laid out.
He added that candidates who have confirmed their admission status as positive on OAU website should proceed with the payment of a non-refundable acceptance fees of N20,000 before continue with the registration procedures as detailed on the e-portal of the website. http://allafrica.com/stories/201202141026.html
