arrested at an illegal orientation camp in Lafia, Nasarawa State to
journalists.
The graduates, some of whom were in the uniform of the National Youth Service Corps Scheme, were paraded at the NSCDC Headquarters, Abuja.
The NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Okeh, said the fake corps members were apprehended following intelligence surveillance of the place they were camped.
He stated that investigation had commenced, adding that there were moves to arrest the fake corps members who fled during the raid.
Deputy Commandant of the NSCDC in Nasarawa, Walter Akubiro, who led the operation, explained that the arrests were made possible by an NSCDC operative who applied to be a military instructor at the camp.
He stated that the suspects, who paid between N80,000-N150, 000 to the camp operators, had earlier lodged the graduates at the Tip Top Hotel, Nyanya, Nasarawa before they were moved into a camp deep in the bush.
