All About 2013/2014 JAMB Sales And Registration

The 2013/2014 JAMB forms and registration will be on sale soon. Now that the 2013/2014 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board -JAMB examination is around the corner, some students and even parents has been trying aimlessly to get their hands on latest information about the 2013/2014 JAMB details. You are to note this, be you a student (candidate), parent or gaudian that the Jamb authorities have introduced an electronic version of matriculation examinations. This is just the begining of Computer Based Test (C.B.T.) examination in Nigeria and a candidate has to either choose the JAMB C.B.T. or the normal paper exam.

From the reports that we got from JAMB,  we noted that the new electronic Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination will commences at special centres for the first three years. Within the first three years, normal paper exam will still be available.

Ruqayyatu Rufa'i who is the current Education minister  flagged off the JAMB's computer-based testing in Abuja. At present, the board said that there are test centres on ground for the commencement of the 2013/2014 JAMB UTME exam across the  all 36 states, the FCT and six other centres abroad in countries such as Britain, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Republic of Benin, Cameroon and Ghana.

As we all know that the power outage in Nigeria is still on improvement, the board said that there will be back-up power in order to avoid disruptions during testing. One thing that about this new idea is that candidates will only fix an appointment to sit for the exam at the time of registration and will automatically have their JAMB scores sent to their mobile phones immediately they leave their Exam Centres.

What About Cheating In 2013/2014 JAMB UTME ?

Over the years, the board has been faced with  examination malpractices and cheating but this innovation will make it difficult for any candidate that wants to cheat. Why? You asked. It is because the way the systems and computer are been programmed as so hard to hack and will make any unauthorized access difficult.
