Access and General Studies Centre was set up to coordinate Access Programme and GST Courses in the University.
ACCESS PROGRAMME
One of the mandates of the Centre is to provide access to higher education through the University’s Access Programme to those who do not have the required O’Level credits for admission into degree programmes. This is in keeping with the openness admission policy of the National Open University of Nigeria, an open and distance learning institution. Anyone who does not have the required five credits for admission into a degree programme, is given a chance to make up the credits by being admitted into the University’s Access Programme. This Programme is for one academic year of two semesters.
NOTE II: Students should not register for any course in the intended degree programme until he/she successfully completes the Access courses.
NOTE III: Duration of Access Programme is one academic year of two semesters.
GST COURSES
The following GST courses are to be studied and passed by every undergraduate student in the University.
