Saraki Foundation Starts Free JAMB Coaching Classes In Ilorin

The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation has commenced extra-mural classes for the UTME candidates in various core subjects so as to equip them for the examination.
About 1,223 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)candidates in Kwara State have benefited from Senator Saraki Foundation’s free UTME forms.
It was gathered that the affected candidates possessed five credits including English and Mathematics in either NECO or WAEC examinations and are equipped to participate in the forthcoming Joint Admission and Matriculation Board examination.
Addressing the candidates in Ilorin recently during the distribution of instructional materials worth several millions of naira to them, the Chairman Screening committee of the foundation, Dr Yahaya Alabi, said that, the gesture was in line with the commitment of Senator Saraki’s quest to ensure quality education for the people of Ilorin Emirate.
He said that Senator Saraki is a leader that believes in the welfare and growth of individuals, adding that this has prompted him to put a foundation capable of accelerating the socio- economic and educational advancement of the people of Ilorin Emirate.
He said that by the time the candidates were taught on the core subjects for the examination, they would be able to pass and gain admission into universities.
Dr Alabi added that any of the candidates that finally gained admission would also be given scholarship so as to assist their parents and guardians.
He also said that the foundation had recruited capable teachers that would be ready at all times to impact knowledge on the candidates in order to make them excel during the examination.
He said the challenge before the candidates now was for them to be committed and embark on serious academic work, adding that this would go a long way to assist them to pass the forthcoming examination.
Also speaking, the secretary of the foundation, Alhaji Nasir Zubair said that, the foundation was formed by Senator Saraki to contribute his quota towards the educational development of the state.
Alhaji Zubair said the candidates were carefully chosen in view of their academic performances during their NECO and WAEC examinations by having five credits with English and Mathematics.
He, however, said that, the candidates should be up and doing in order to enable them pass well during their forthcoming JAMB.
