UNIJOS 2011/2012 POSTGRADUATE FORMS ARE OUT

SCHOOL OF POSTGRADUATE STUDIES
 
SALE OF POSTGRADUATE FORMS FOR THE 2011/2012 ACADEMIC SESSION
 
Applications are invited from interested candidates for admission into Postgraduate Degree/Diploma Programmes of the University of Jos for the 2011/2012 Academic Session. The list of advertised courses for the 2011/2012 Academic Session can be accessed from http://www.unijos.edu.ng/postgraduates/?q=node/5
All candidates applying for admission into the Postgraduate programmes are expected to follow the procedures below to pay for and download their application forms from the University’s website.
 
1. Interested applicants are to log onto the PG application site at http://mis.unijos.edu.ng/pg/apply OR
    Click on PG Application form at the University’s home page at www.unijos.edu.ng
 
2. Select the option: “I want to make a fresh registration ( I do not have an authentication number yet )
 
3.  Fill the information below in the form that appears after step (2) above.
                                                          i.      Surname
                                                          ii.     Other names
                                                          iii.    Gender
                                                          iv.     Course you intend to apply for
 
4. Click on the Submit button after completing the form above. Please note that the authentication number generated
     after submission of this form is to be used for subsequent login and serve as your form number. 
      You may wish to print out the Authentication Number generatedbefore proceeding.
 
5. Proceed to make payment of Eight thousand six hundred (N8,600.00) Naira only as cost for the form. Use any of the
    two methods below for payment:
 
a)         Interswitch ATM card Payment
 
              I. Click the ‘make Payment using an Interswitch ATM card’ button
 
              II. Enter your ATM card number, your ATM pin number and the expiration date of the card and click submit.
 
              III. If the payment is successful, a page will be displayed with links allowing you to print both the application form and your receipt; else confirm that money has not been deducted from your ATM before repeating the process from 5a(i) – (ii)
              IV. Print the downloaded form or store it for later printing.
 
b)     Direct Payment at Skye Bank, Jos Branch
 
i. Interested Applicants resident in Jos can make direct payment for the application form at the SKYE BANK, JOS. Please indicate your authentication number on the teller while filling it to make payment.
 
ii. Revisit the application website at http://mis.unijos.edu.ng/pg/apply and then select the option ‘I want to continue my registration (I already have an authentication number)’.
 
iii. Type your surname and the authentication number and submit to proceed.
 
iv. A page will be displayed with links allowing you to download the application form and print your payment receipt.
 
6. Fill the application form and send it back with photocopies of your credentials and NYSC discharge certificate or exemption to:

CLOSING DATE
Application forms duly completed and not returned to the School of Postgraduate Studies on or before the 30th of September, 2011 will not be considered for admission in the session.
 
OTHER INFORMATION
 
Academic Transcript
Applicants should also request their former Institutions to forward a copy of their transcripts of academic record to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Jos. P.M.B. 2084, Jos Plateau State Nigeria. Applicants whose transcript of academic records/certificate (Photocopies) and references are not received at the expiration of the deadline will not be considered.
 
 
Accommodation
Regular Full time Postgraduate Students are required to arrange for their own accommodation, as the University at present has no provision for special postgraduate residence.
