The school of basic and remedial studies, ahmadu bello university, Funtua wishes to invite the candidates that have applied for admission into 2011/2012 academic session for basic programme (ijmb) and remedial programme to a mandatory pre-admission screening exercise which is scheduled as follows:
1. Pre-admission screening exercise for basic (ijmb) programme:
a. Requirements
candidates applying for this programme must have at least five (5) credits including english and mathematics and with any of the following combinations:
bs1: biology, chemistry, physics;
bs2: chemistry, mathematics, physics;
bs3: biology, chemistry, mathematics;
bs4: chemistry, geography, physics;
bs5: mathematics, geography, physics.
Candidates seeking admission for the above programme must:
i. Come along with printed copy of online registration form or scratch card
ii. Come physically along with two (2) recent passport photograph.
Iii. Come with hb pencil and calculator.
Iv. Pay the sum of n2,000.00 as pre-admission screening fee.

2. Pre-admission screening exercise for remedial programme
a. Requirements
candidates must have at least three (3) credits and two (2) passes in science subjects with either of the following combinations:
rs1: biology, chemistry, geography and two (2) passes in either english, mathematics or physics.
Rs2: biology, chemistry, physics and two (2) passes in either english, mathematics or geography.
Rs3: biology, geography, physics and two (2) passes in either english, mathematics or chemistry.
Rs4: chemistry, geography, physics and two (2) passes in either english, mathematics or biology.
Candidates seeking admission for the above programme must:
i. Come along with printed copy of online registration form or scratch card
ii. Come physically along with two (2) recent passport photograph
iii. Come with hb pencil and calculator.
Iv. Pay the sum of n2,000.00 as pre-admission screening fee.

group 1: monday, 24th and tuesday, 25th october, 2011: states: kaduna, borno, taraba, jigawa, fct.
Group 2: wednesday, 26th and thursday, 27th october, 2011: states: kogi, kano, nassarawa, bauchi, adamawa, yobe.
Group 3: friday, 28th and saturday, 29th october, 2011: states: katsina, kwara, niger, gombe, plateau, benue, kebbi, sokoto, zamfara.

Note: interested candidates for admission into either of the programmes who could not purchase the scratch card earlier can do so on the day of the pre-admission screening.
