Full-Time/Part-Time National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes
FULL-TIME PROGRAMMES
Admission into all programmes is processed through JAMB's Unified Tertiary Matriculation
Examination (UTME). Details of programmes offered by Lagos State Polytechnic are as listed in
the current JAMB/UTME brochure.

C. Entry Requirements for National Diploma (ND) Full-Time Programmes.
SSCE or WASC or GCE ‘O’Level or NECO or NABTEB with at least 5 Credits obtained at one sitting
for all Management Programmes and Computer Science, and 4 Credits obtained at not more
than 2 sittings for other programmes which must include English Language, Mathematics and 3
or 2 other relevant subjects respectively.
2- YEAR HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
The general entry requirements for all Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes are as
follows:
1. Candidates are required to satisfy SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB entry requirements for the
corresponding National Diploma programme.
2. Candidates are required to have completed a relevant National Diploma Programme at not
below LOWER CREDIT classification.
3. Candidates are required to have at least one year post-ND industrial work experience.

B. Entry Requirements for National Diploma (ND) Part-Time Programmes
SSCE or WASCE or GCE 'O' Level or NECO or NABTEB with at least 5 Credits(Management
Programmes and Computer Science) and 4 Credits(Other Programmes) obtained at not more
than 2 sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics and 3 or 2 other relevant
subjects respectively.
C. Mature Candidates: Candidates with lower qualifications than the ones stated above but
with at least two relevant credits and two (2) passes could be considered for admission,
provided such candidates are not below the age of 40 years and have a minimum of 15 years
work experience at a SUPERVISORY LEVEL.

E. Entry Requirements for Higher National Diploma (HND) Part-Time Programmes
Applicants for HND Programmes indicated above must:
i. Satisfy entry requirements into the relevant National Diploma programmes
ii. Pass at not below LOWER CREDIT classification in the relevant National Diploma
programmes, with one year post-ND industrial work experience.
F. Important Notice (Full Time and Part Time)
1. Candidates applying for HND programmes are expected to submit copies of the following:
(1) Application Form (2) 'O' level result (3) ND Letter of Completion (4) Birth Certificate (5)
Industrial attachment discharge letter to the under-listed Officers.

2. Candidates are advised to ensure that they personally and not by proxy fill in correct
information. The Polytechnic would not be liable for any erroneous information contained in
filling of forms.
3. Each applicant is advised to provide correct and functional e-mail address and telephone
number while completing application form.

Procedure for Online Applications
Applicants are expected to:
i. Purchase E-tranzact PIN from ANY Bank for payment on the portal. This is available at the
banks.
· Full-Time: HND = N3,000
· Part-Time: ND and HND = N3,000
ii. Log on to LASPOTECH's website at http://www.laspotech.net/
iii. Click on the "2011/2012 Admission Applications" link at the left corner.
iv. Fill the application form provided. Ensure that you provide accurate data at all times. In
addition to your personal information and application information, you will be required to
provide your WAEC/GCE/NECO result as well as previous educational history.
v. Ensure you print out all receipts such as your Application form, fee payment receipt and
keep them safely.
vi. You will be required to upload a colour passport photograph of NOT MORE THAN 20kb in
size.
vii. Submit your application form and Print the completed form. You will be required to
present this at a later date, so keep it safely.
5. Successful candidates must adhere strictly to the registration procedure as highlighted on
the Polytechnic website.
6. The Institution is non-residential. Students will therefore be required to make their own
arrangements for accommodation and transportation.
