LAGOS— National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members in Ajeromi- Ifelodun Local Government Area, Lagos State, have condemned acts of examination malpractice, which thrives in most academic institutions in the country.
The corps members on education and public enlightenment as part of their community development programme to Emdee College, counselled students on the effects of the trend and ways of addressing the now rampant phenomenon.
Speaking on “The Effects of Examination Malpractice,” the corps members decried the act of exam malpractice, which is now a common practice in both internal and external exams in the country.
They expressed concern, as examination bodies, such as the Joint Examination and Matriculation Board, JAMB, deploy their resources to curb the menace, which they noted is unabating, as students have now devised more desperate ways of beating the rules.
On the resort to cheating during exams, the corpers, blamed parents, teachers and the school authorities for failing to instill discipline in their students.
