The ESUT Academic Community is hereby invited to the 17th National Conference of the Nigerian Association of Health Educators (NAHE). This conference will be hosted by the Department of Health and Physical Education, ESUT. The date and venue of the conference is 13th – 16th June, 2012 at the Faculty of Education Auditorium, ESUT. The theme of the conference is Environment and Health.
We therefore, urge the ESUT academic community to avail themselves of this golden opportunity to lend their voices to this important global health discourse. Hopefully, this will foster fruitful engagements in this cross-disciplinary academic exercise.
A beautiful and hazard-free environment is an asset to health. The health status of an individual, a community or a nation is determined by the interactions of the internal environment of human beings and the external environment which surrounds them. Environment is one of the major determinants of health status of human beings and health we know expands or limits one’s capacity for everything. To promote health and thus prevent diseases, therefore, calls for a discursive issue as environmental health.
