The just concluded Basic Education
Certificate Examination (BECE) of West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in Ghana says that the board only has few cases
of examination malpractices in the country. This shows that students are less relying on expos has it is so called in Nigeria. The malpractices cases was said to be
investigated and those involved sanctioned. Depending on the offences, the candidate will either bag withholding or/ and cancellation of result.
The Principal Public Affairs Officer of WAEC, Mrs Agnes Teye-Cudjoe said that they will take the appropriate action after the investigations are concluded.
She indicated that the candidates, school authorities, supervisors and invigilators were all made aware of the dos and don’ts of the examination.
