UNIABUJA STUDENTS PROTEST AGAIN

On Wednesday, University of Abuja (UniAbuja) school activities once again   paralyzed at the due to the students that are protesting over alleged plan to combining 2  departments in the Faculty of Engineering.

Students and others could not go into the school premises as movement was restricted. Policemen were at the gates at the mini and permanent sites in order to cease any violence that may occur. Though, some students are reported injured.

According to the report, the students accused the Vice Chancellor of the varsity, Prof. James Adelabu, of not being fair to students of the Faculty of Engineering.

The move by the university management to merge the Departments of Civil with that of Electrical Engineering and to make 500 level students in the fused departments to start from 300 levels was not in the interest of students.

More and more students were seen protesting against the development by the school.
