Bauchi State University Is The 36th Varsity In Nigeria

The 36th University In Nigeria Is Located in the heart of Bauchi State. That is one of the country development. This is a good sign and promising future for generation for now and the ones coming  after.
National Universities Commission (NUC) over weekend issued operational license to Bauchi state Governor, Isa Yuguda for immediate commencement of academic activities at the Bauchi state university, Gadau..

Executive Secretary, NUC, Professor Julius Okojie while informing the Governor that he will officially write JAMB to inform it of the existence of a new university for future admission told him that he has a good vision and mission which will outlive him and by the grace of God, it will come to fulfillment.

Presenting the license to the Governor at the Commission's office, Okojie said "with effect from the 23rd of September, 2011, Bauchi state university is to be recognized as the 36th state university".

Executive Secretary of NUC said that the university came on board at the appropriate time of the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan advising the Governor to send copies of the university's master plan to the commission so that the Commission will go through them and advise properly where necessary to avoid mistakes.

The NUC boss who noted that it was not unusual for a state to request for a state university assured Yuguda of the commission's support to ensure the higher institution succeeds noting that "he who brings university brings development to the people and any state that aspires and have resources to develop a state university is welcomed at NUC".

He advised the Governor to ensure that the university reflects universality and not just meant for a particular people of a locality.

In his remarks, the Bauchi state Governor, Isa Yuguda has promised to fast track the takeoff of the state owned university through the provision of necessary infrastructures to meet up with global standard.

The Governor who disclosed that a reasonable percentage of revenue generated by the state has been earmarked for the development of the proposed university said that the first phase of the university's implementation plan would be completed in the next five years.

Yuguda said that the state government had employed the services of experienced professionals to draw the implementation plan.

"I believe that the enabling laws required to set up a university presented to you in this proposal would meet up to standard."

The governor said that the proposed university was necessary in order to cater for the growing number of qualified indigenes seeking admission into tertiary institutions across the country.

He disclosed that the institution proposes to commence with small qualified number of students so as to ensure that the school graduate best of brains and the university becomes one of the best in the near future.
