LIST OF CANDIDATES RECOMMENDED FOR ADMISSION: -
1ST BATCH OF THE 1ST CHOICE ADMISSIONS EXERCISE

Consequent upon JAMB’s approval of the list of candidates recommended for admission, as a result of the 1st choice Screening Exercise conducted on 29 August, 2011, by the University of Ibadan, the underlisted candidates are hereby notified of their offer of Provisional Admission. The conditions attached are listed below from 1-4 (a-i).

Kindly note that candidates were recommended for admission strictly on merit based on their performance at the Screening Exercise, for the various Academic Programmes.

Conditions for Acceptance of Admission Offer

  1. Paying the Acceptance Fee of Seven thousand, five hundred naira only (N7,500.00) into the Admissions Processing Account in First Bank of Nig. PLC, U.I. branch, Ibadan (Acct. No. – 2018156959).  Please note that payments could be done in any branch of First Bank NATION WIDE.

  1. Printing a copy of the ACCEPTANCE FORM and submitting the filled form with evidence of payment of the Acceptance Fee to the Admissions Office, University of Ibadan, not later than 23 September, 2011.

Please note that you will not be allowed to matriculate and therefore become a bona-fide student of this University, if you do not complete all the stipulated registration processes.

  1. Visit the BIODATA FORM page on http://www.admission.ui.edu/biodata to upload your picture and signature.  You are free to correct any information that is/are not properly displayed, however ensure that the information is not different from the information you supplied to JAMB and the University earlier.

  1. You are advised to get the underlisted documents ready for the Admissions Clearance/Registration Exercise.  The dates for this exercise will be announced later.

a)      Confirmation of Provisional Admission (To be printed from www.admissions.ui.edu.ng later
b)      Original and 4 photocopies of the UTME result slip
c)      Original and 4 photocopies of your credentials – SSCE/GCE
d)     Ten (10) recent passport size photographs
e)      Original and 4 photocopies of Birth Certificate or Sworn Declaration of Age
f)       Two letters of reference from two reputable persons – on Letter Headed Papers
g)      Original and 4 photocopies of bank teller for payment of N7,500.00 Admission’s Acceptance Fee
h)      A file with tag

2nd Batch of the 2011/2012 of 1st Choice Admission Exercise/2nd Choice and Change of Course/Supplementary Candidates and Direct Entry Admission Exercise

The second batch of candidates for Provisional Admission, for the 1st Choice Exercise, will be processed to JAMB for approval at a later date.

Note:   Kindly note that consideration of candidates to fill-up the Locality and ELDS criterias of JAMB (asterisked above) is done by selecting a candidate from each state of the Federation with the highest scores (for locality) and same is done for ELDS (Educationally Less Developed States).

FIRST CHOICE SUPPLEMENTARY SUBMISSION FIRST CHOICE SUPPLEMENTARY SUBMISSION

The University of Ibadan Admissions Portal is now open for first choice supplementary submissions, the following candidates are qualified to apply.
  • Candidates who made payments but were unable to login in their results before the closure of the web on 18th, August 2011.
  • First Choice candidates, whose outstanding 'O' level results have just been released, and who now want to make payments and upload their results.
  • Candidates who did not make final submission due to inability to get images (photo and signature).

SCREENING OF FIRST CHOICE MOST PREFERRED UTME
CANDIDATES FOR ADMISSION
    1. The University of Ibadan, Ibadan, hereby requests all candidates who made the University their First Choice Most Preferred Institution in the 2011/2012 UTME and scored 200 and above, to submit the results of their SSCE WAEC/NECO or equivalent certificate ONLINE directly through http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng on or before 17th August, 2011.
    2. Candidates who are expecting the release of their ‘O’ level results CANNOTparticipate in the 2011/2012 Admissions Exercise, until such results are released. SSCE (or equivalent) results released after 31 August, 2011 will not be considered for the 2011/2012 Admissions Exercise.
    3. Instructions:-
       A (i) Candidates are to pay N2,000.00 into U.I Admission Processing Fee Account (See details below) at any of the               branches of the banks nationwide:

    First Bank of Nigeria Plc, UI branch, Ibadan (Acct. No – 2018156959)

  • The teller should have SURNAME and initials of the candidate as in the UTME result slip preceeded by the JAMB Registration number, as the payee.
  • Name and JAMB Registration Number should be quoted in the depositor’s name at the point of payment (in bank). The following format could be adopted:
  • Jambregno/name or e.g. JE23145667FE/Ayodeji Aderoyeje O.
  •   (ii) Consequent upon payment of the Processing fee of N2,000.00 at the banks, candidates are expected to submit their Teller numbers online. This should be done by logging-in on http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng with the JAMB Registration number and submission of a valid e-mail address.
  •   (iii) Candidates will receive username and password through their e-mail addresses within 24 hours of submission.
  •   (v) Candidates should ensure that the on-line forms are carefully filled, following ALL necessary instructions, as “mistake(s)” may lead to disqualification.
      B (i) Please fill the on-line forms in CAPITAL letters only.
         (ii) Multiple submissions may lead to disqualification.
    •   (iii) Bonafide applicants can return to the portal, until 17th August 2011 to edit/complete their previous entries or otherwise review and print their submissions. Please ensure that you click “FINAL SUBMISSION” before printing.
    •   (iv) Kindly use functional E-mail addresses and Telephone numbers to enable the University to reach you in the course of the Admission exercise, whenever the need arises.
    •   (v) Candidates are expected to upload their passport photographs and signature.The image format for the passport and signature is JPEG and must not exceed 20KB.
      (vii) Schedule:
      Names of short listed candidates for the Interactive/Screening Session will be displayed on the University’s Website at a  date to be announced later.
        4. Candidates should please note that it is only when an ‘O’ level result is deficient for a course of choice, that another deficient result may be presented to compliment the deficient one. Candidates presenting two ‘O’ level results (6 credits at 2 Sittings) should ensure that, the comprehensive details of both results are submitted.
        5. The deadline for submission of ‘O’ level results may not be extended. Any candidate whose results are not submitted at the stipulated time may not be considered for admission.
        6. Misrepresentation of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are therefore advised to submit genuine documents only. Any one found guilty of this offence will be disqualified automatically and may be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agents.
