An official release by the management of the University of Benin dismisses the threat by the Religious Extremist to bomb the university, tagging it as a "Hoax" (Rumuor).

The management therefore urges all staff and students to go about their normal activities in the school as there will be NO CLOSE DOWN of the institution.
