JAMB registrar, Dibu Ojerinde |
This was made know by the JAMB registrar, Dibu Ojerinde when they had their 2nd Combined Technical Committee meeting on admissions to degree, diploma and certificate awarding institutions.
Why do you think they do this? According to him, he said
The major thing is that they exploit these children.Once this is implemented, I know that this will be of huge benefit for varsities candidates.
Some collect as much as N7, 000 to register and worse still give them fake identification and registration details; we believe that is absolutely wrong.
So if we can solve that problem by registering a cyber cafe and giving them our password, it will be better. We want to have a legitimate cyber cafe that we shall be able to identify where students can register," he said.
"He pledged that JAMB is ready to safeguard the interest of Nigerian children by checking undue exploitation of applicants."
