All About 2012 Jamb Registration Instructions (HOW TO COMPLETE 2012 JAMBONLINE APPLICATION FORM)

If you stop at this point you will not need to start the process all over again the next time you revisit your application form. You simply use your user name and password to login.

2.2     Login User

Launch the www.jamb.org.ng website from Internet Explorer

Click on the "2011 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination" link

Locate the "Login" column below the Login

Supply the PIN and Serial Number on your scratch card

Click on the Sign Up button

Note: this option is for candidates who have signed up before with their respective scratch cards and have created user name and password.


2.3     Registration of Candidates

After sign up or login, click Register at the top of the window

Complete the required information on the form

Confirm the password

Click the Next button to continue

Note that you cannot change your Exam Town after you save or submit your form.

Follow the instructions below to attach your passport

Click preview to view the supplied data.

Click Submit to store the entries or click previous to go back

Note:
1. All the Boxes marked (*) are compulsory fields and must be filled.
2. A slip will be displayed showing the registration number, Names, subjects, first and second choice institutions. You must print this slip and bring it along with other documents to your examination center.

Click Printer Version link at the top left of the slip to be able to get a printable copy of the slip

Click Print button at the bottom of the page to print your slip


2.3     Registration of Candidates

To attach your passport photograph to your form, you must have created an electronic copy of the passport photograph as follows:

• Scan the actual passport photograph using a flatbed scanner or take a passport photograph with a digital camera

• The passport photo should not be more than 15 kb. It can be colored or black and white. The passport photograph must be clear and the candidate's face must NOT be obstructed in any way by items like glasses, sun glasses, head gear, etc.

• The passport photograph should be taking with contrasting background

• Save the picture in JPEG format in a folder on your local PC

• Save the picture in JPEG format in a folder on your local PC

Note: A photo validating page is provided to help you know the accept able size of your passport.

To attach the electronic passport photograph to your form online,

Click the Browse button on the Passport Photo area on the online form

Locate the folder on your PC where you saved the passport link

Select the passport and click Open


3.0     Test Photo

This option is added to enable candidates check the validity (size) of the electronic passport photographs.

Launch the www.jamb.org.ng website from Internet Explorer

Click on the "2011 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination" link

Click Test Photo link

Click the Browse button at the passport photo frame on the screen

From the Choose File dialog box locate the passport file and click Open

Click Test Photo button to validate the picture


4.0     Print Slip

Launch the www.jamb.org.ng website from Internet Explorer

Click on the "2011 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination" link

Click Login link and enter your username and password

Click the Print Slip link at the left pane of the window.

Click the Print button at the bottom of the displayed slip that lets you print the slip



5.0     Downloads

5.1     Template Form

To download the registration template form:

Launch the www.jamb.org.ng website from Internet Explorer

Click Login link and enter your username and password link

Click Download link 

Click on Registration Template

Click Save to save the downloaded file to a specified location or

Click Open to open and View/Print the registration template

Click Cancel to cancel the downloading Process


6.0     Using The Online Brochure

The online brochure is built to be dynamic. It can help you easily locate your course, institution, catchments area for an institution. You may also download parts of the brochure.

To download the brochure

Launch the www.jamb.org.ng website from Internet Explorer

Click Login link and enter your username and password

Click Brochure link

Click Search Brochure or Browse through the Brochure or Download Brochure as you may require.

The Search Brochure link lets you:

• Locate the institutions offering a specified course. You can achieve this by selecting the course and select a state. The system will find all the institutions in that state that offer your selected course. Alternatively, you can specify course and select ‘All’ from school list box, the system will check through all the institutions registered with Jamb that offer your selected course.

• Locate catchments for state. In this option you will be required to specify the state, the system will display catchments institutions of the selected state. Selecting the 'Click' option beside an institution will display all courses available in the institution. To know the requirement for each course, Click 'Requirement' link beside the course.

The Browse through brochure displays all the faculties in the institutions. You can select a faculty to see the courses and their requirements. This option is similar to the manual way of searching through hard copy brochure. Courses are arranged faculty by faculty in a tabular form with requirements The Download: This provides users to download copies of the brochure may be for future use.

The brochure is broken into faculties, such that users will only download the faculty that concerns and to reduce time it will take to download the entire brochure which may be difficult to handle.

To download the brochure:

Click on faculty

Click Save to save the downloaded file to a specified location or

Click Open to open and View/Print the registration template

Click Cancel to cancel the downloading Process
